Chivalry 2 Combat Guide: Tips for Beginners
Surviving and Succeeding
If you're having trouble staying alive and beating more experienced players in Chivalry 2, the most obvious tip is to not get outnumbered. This means sticking with your teammates and avoiding situations where you're surrounded by enemies. It can be tempting to try and take on multiple enemies at once, but it's usually not a good idea. Especially not while you're still learning the basics.
Tips for Fighting
Here are some additional combat tips to help you survive and succeed in Chivalry 2:
- Learn to parry and counter-attack. Parrying is one of the most important skills in Chivalry 2. It allows you to block incoming attacks and open up your opponents for a counter-attack. To parry, simply press the right mouse button just before an attack hits you. Once you've parried an attack, you can quickly follow up with a light attack or a heavy attack.
- Use your feints. Feinting is a great way to trick your opponents and create openings for attacks. To feint, press the left mouse button and then quickly release it. This will make your character start an attack animation, but they will not actually attack. If your opponent tries to parry your feint, you can quickly follow up with a real attack.
- Use your environment to your advantage. There are many environmental hazards in Chivalry 2 that you can use to your advantage. For example, you can use boiling oil to damage enemies, or you can throw rocks at them to knock them off cliffs. Be creative and use your surroundings to your advantage.
