Arsenal produced a clinical performance to thrash Aston Villa 4-0 in the semi-finals of the Women's League Cup on Wednesday evening.
Dominant First Half
Stina Blackstenius stole the show in the first half, scoring a brilliant hat-trick to give Arsenal an insurmountable lead. The Swedish striker opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a low drive, before doubling the lead with a header just before the half-hour mark. She completed her treble in the 38th minute with a coolly converted penalty.
Frida Maanum Seals Victory
Frida Maanum added the fourth goal in the second half with a well-taken strike from distance. The Norwegian midfielder's goal sealed Arsenal's victory and sent them through to the final, where they will face holders Manchester City.
